Just thinking

THAT I REALLY MISS PRESLEY! Next trip we take she's coming with us. 7 days without her is to long and hard for me. I know she's in great hands with our families but problem is she's not in my hands and I feel incomplete without her. Can't wait to see her! Love my baby girl so much.

Snorkeling Molokini

First: Happy 14 months Presley!! You're getting so big and can't wait to see you!

Today we went snorkeling in Molokini. For those of you who don't know what Molokini is, it's a small island/cove in Hawaii. It's half cylinder shaped. The point in going to Molokini is for snorkeling or scuba diving purposes. No one is allowed to step foot on the land because it's protected for the birds that live on it. A bird sanctuary. In order to go out to Molokini you are required to take a boat. Wade and I arrived at the docking station at 7am after signing a waiver (pretty much signing your life away). We loaded the boat and headed off. As we headed there the boat came to a stand still where caption "talk to much"(you will see why I call him this later)had to go over a few rules just in case the boat sank, kinda like the rules before going on a plane. Well while he was telling us how to keep safe the boat was rocking and the trade winds started to pick up. Which meant the ocean wasn't calm anymore the boat was rocking up and down vigorously. I started to feel wheezy. Once the boat started moving, I was okay because we weren't rocking anymore.

We finally arrived to Molokini and the boat went into a stand still. ugh! captain "talk a lot" went over the rules (we just heard them no less than 10 min ago) and then his skipper had to go over a few things as well. Oh man, the wheezy feeling was coming back. Once they let us in the water I was okay (less movement). As we dove into the reefs they were AMAZING! It was a playground for these beautiful fish. They swam next to us and could even touch us. We saw numerous beautiful fishes, eels, rays, and reef sharks! After being in those reefs for about over an hour I started to get sick again because the trade winds were picking up and the waves in the water were getting bigger. It was finally time to leave and we were off to turtle bay to swim with the turtles.

Once we we got on the boat to Molokini to leave that reef and go to turtle bay it wasn't bad. The captain decided not to talk and just head out. That was smooth sailing for me because we weren't rocking. Once we got to turtle bay I jumped right into the water. Freaked me out because we were in about 40 feet of water and it was deep blue rather than light blue. I knew a great white could fit in this area. Well as we started to swim around we saw sea turtles! Oh my, they were absolutely gorgeous(the turtles). They swam right up to us to get air from the surface and hung out. It was sweet. We swam around there for about half an hour until captain "talk a lot" said we had to go. Of course I was the last one to get on the boat because I was still feeling wheezy. As everyone got on and I finally got on, captain "talk a lot" decided he wanted to tell us the history of sea turtles and the skipper decided he would stay in the water to inspect his fins. Really people?! I'm trying my best not to puke my brains out and here we are just chilling on the boat rocking up and down. As the captain kept talking, I felt it coming. I looked at Wade and said "babe, I'm going to puke" and well about 2 seconds after that, I did. Embarrassing! It wasn't my fault, they could have done things differently. Like maybe talked about the history of sea turtles before we got there or after we got back to the dock. Well I missed the whole history lesson on those wonderful animals because I was puking in front of about 20 people. Once we got back to land my feet were never so happy to hit solid ground again.

Despite my projecting vomiting, this trip was amazing. I got to see so much. I snorkeled in the reefs of Molokini where there are no trained animals, just animals living in there natural habitat and can do anything at anytime. I will forever remember this trip. All the pics I have are in a disposable water proof camera but I'll post a picture of Molokini.

First Day as Newlyweds.

Waking up as Mr and Mrs Jones seems to be so surreal to me. I been waking up to him everyday for the last 3 years but the fact that I look over and I see my "husband" seems somewhat strange. It always used to be just wade, fiance, or baby daddy (haha just kidding) but you know what I mean, and if you don't well then go fly a kite. Today we wanted to keep things mellow by laying out at the beach all day and enjoying our first official day as a newlywed couple. This blog will be short due to the fact that I can only write so much about laying out, swimming, listening to music while we sip on cocktails before I begin to repeat myself. Aloha everyone! Miss you all! Love you Presley!!!

Oh one great story I do have that Tena (mother in law) told me about Presley, was that she heard my voice on the phone when I called and she grabbed the phone and kept saying "Hi Mum, Hi mum, Hi Mum" so cute! awwww I miss her sooooo much! 2 more days baby till your back in my arms.

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Jones

Today is the day we have been waiting for. After two years of being engaged were finally making it official. We started off the day by waking up early and I went for my morning workout. When I arrived back at the condo Wade had my breakfast ready, cup of orange juice, and a cup of coffee waiting for me. Soon after my delicious meal I realized that my left eye started to burn. When I looked in the mirror I was horrified! I looked like I just got out of a boxing match and been hit in the eye about a million times! I called for Wade who gave the same response as I had when I first saw it. He kind of chuckled but then realized we needed to get something to make it better because we were getting married in a couple of hours. After a few trips to the store, Wade called a member of his who's a doctor. Doctor "great" told Wade to get Benadryl cream and put it on my eye. Thank goodness, my eye was completely back to normal for wedding time. We had a gorgeous ceremony. A Hawaiian minister did our ceremony and he chanted songs that were beautiful. I can't wait to get our pictures. We are now officially Mr. & Mrs. Jones. Happiest day of our lives (well along with Presley's birth). It was perfect for us, it was private, intimate and so romantic. We miss our families but they will see our video and the pictures for themselves. Love you Presley! xoxoxo Miss all you guys!

Last night as a Padilla

My last official day as a Padilla. Today for the most part was a beach day but we had a few errands to run for our wedding tomorrow. Wade and I had to drive to meet our wedding coordinator to go over final touches on the ceremony. On the way to meet her we drove to the other side of the island. The drive was gorgeous because we were surrounded by green jungle mountains, the air was so pure and fresh, while the sun warmed our backs. We got lost 3 times (because the roads are confusing and every street sounds the same) but we didn't mind because it's paradise. Once we were done with everything that needed to be done for tomorrow we came back to the condo to relax on the beach. We grabbed a few cocktails at a nearby restaurant where I tried a mytai for the first time! Those things are dangerous. They go down like water. After 4 of those yummy cocktails we went out to the water an enjoyed the rest of the day relaxing watching the crabs dig little holes in the sand (Presley would have loved to see that!) and watched the beautiful sunset that Maui has to offer. That about it for today. Miss you all and WE LOVE YOU PRESLEY! Can't wait to see you monkey xoxo!

Second day in Paradise

We started the day off by waking up at 4am because in California it would be 7am and that's what were used too. Were trying to stick to our normal schedule so that we don't get to adjusted to Hawaii's time change. When we woke up we had a cup of coffee (Hawaii's best) and went for a walk to watch the sun rise. On our walk we decided to go into this shop called Maui Dive shop and rent some snorkeling gear for the week. As we were purchasing the equipment the lady told us that they were running a special on a boat trip to Molokini cove where they have great reefs to snorkel in. We saw earlier online that it was going to cost $78 for each person but with the special going on we got 2 for 1! In other words we only had to pay $78 dollars for the both of us. GREAT DEAL! Once we got back to the condo with our snorkeling gear we wanted to practice for our big snorkeling adventure Thursday morning.

As we swam out towards the reefs, I got a little freaked out because I have never done anything like this before. When your looking underneath you can't see out in front of you to much but you can see directly underneath you at the coral reef (gorgeous). I started to feel a little panic because all I could hear was the sound of my breathing and I started to picture "jaws" coming towards me!

After our morning of snorkeling extravaganza we met a masseuse at our condo for some deep tissue massages! I won't say her real name but Dr. feel good did an amazing job. I will be keeping her card for anyone who comes to Maui. She is highly recommended. She used to massage Arnold Palmer. I mean he's not only a golf legend but his face is on the Arnold Palmer lemonade. We ended today with a beautiful sunset and some great Mahi/Marlin tacos that my wonderful soon to be husband made.

We miss you Presley and everyone! Love you all!! xoxoxo

Arriving in Maui & Our first half day

Aloha!
I like to begin with saying LAX is a ZOO! We had a few complications at the airport before boarding our flight. I don't fly ever, so I wasn't sure on the rules. I know the obvious ones as far as don't bring weapons or things that can be used as weapons but I didn't get the memo on how you can't bring over 3oz of liquid on the flight. Of course here I am with all my hair products, shampoos, and face wash. When we went through security they told me we had to check it in or throw it out. Most people would throw it out but not me! Those products are like an investment to my hair, there was no way I was going to "throw it out" (lady at security probably would of kept it for herself). Once we got that figured out we boarded the flight and I had anxiety for a little bit but once we were smooth sailing I relaxed (also probably had to due with the fact Wade kept ordering me drinks). The relaxation didn't last long because when we were finally arriving we hit some turbulence and that wasn't fun! Wade being the good man he is held my hand and kept reassuring me that everything was okay and that it was completely normal because of the winds. So anyway, which felt like hours of trying to land we were finally on ground yay,I made it in one piece.

A shuttle picked us up when we got there to take us to the rental car place. The driver told us his life story how he was born in Maui but moved all over the US because his father was in the navy...blah blah blah. He ended back in Maui in the 70's and loves it. He gave us a brief history lesson on sugar cane around the islands and of course when the best waves happened. We arrived at the rental car place (thank goodness because if I had to hear about sugar cane for 1 more minute I was going to jump out of the car!) where there awaited our luxurious yellow jeep wrangler. It's perfect,no windows, no AC, and no radio (we get the best of everything;)). It's totally what we need. We made it to our condo and its FABULOUS!!! Wade thinks the owner is secretly a Jones because the style here is all Tommy Bahama and there's a "coach chair" (as Wade says).

Once we settled down we got into our swim suites and walked into our backyard where the water and sand greeted our feet from the moment we stepped out. We jumped into the 80 degree water and enjoyed the natural massage on our feet from the soft sand. We met another young married couple who joined us for some conversation and few drinks (how is that everywhere we go Wade meets people that end up having a drinking contest?! men I tell you). We love it here, it's beautiful. We miss Presley so much already but as Wade says "babe, enjoy this week because when we get back you have her for 17 more years!" Such a wise guy I tell you. Okay it's about 7:30 pm Hawaii time and about 10:30 California time and I'm tired!I'll be up at 3 in the morning here because it will be 6am in the "mainland".

P.S When we went to the store, people were already mistaking me as a "local". They were asking me for directions and advice hahaha funny stuff. People probably see me and wonder why I'm with the "Halie" (main lander).

Miss all our family especially our little monkey Presley! Love you all xoxo!

I love, that she loves, her books!

Maui Bound

We leave Saturday early morning for Maui! I'm very excited because I have never been but I'm nervous because I hate flying. I think I need to sip down a few cocktails or maybe take a little something to calm my nerves ha ha. I already miss Presley and I haven't even left yet! yikes! Once I'm there I know I'll be fine because I'll be on ground and I can call her to say hi!

Lady Gaga's #1 Fan

Also please excuse the mess on the floor in the dinning room. It was laundry day so everything was piled up to go into the washer. Also if my music is playing at the same time and it's hard to hear the video you can scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and hit stop on the music box you see.

Wades Bachelor Party in Vegas

Guys are smart in the sense that they don't take cameras and pose for every little thing they do (cough, cough GIRLS) instead they take pictures of eachother (via cell phone) when acting like complete fools in order to get a laugh later. In other words, their trip to Vegas is kept secretive. Well let's not kid ourselves, call me naive but I'm pretty sure these group of guys did nothing but gamble, sports book it and drink free cocktails while losing all their money. Whatever they did, you can tell by this picture they had some fun! Must be nice...haha

(P.S Thanks Kerry for taking at least one pic!)

Bridal Shower/ Bachelorette Party

All I have to say my sisters did such an amazing job on the bridal shower! Also my sister in law did an amazing job planning the bachelorette party. I feel so blessed to have them in my life. I couldn't begin to say how happy I was that it was all for me. I was so excited to see my friends there who made it so much fun and I'm so thankful that they were able to share this with me. I can't wait to become Mrs. Jones! Here are some teasers to see how it all began and how it ended.

Minor Changes in blog

This blog is now "keeping up with the Jones's." I want to write about us as a family and I will of course continue to share stories of Presley and post precious videos of her. I just wanted to share stories about juggling being "mommy" and "daddy" as well as (very soon to be) "Wifey" and "hubby." This way I can look back on these stories and laugh about the things we went through together and how we handled them. I hope for those of you who read this blog enjoy them.

We're Getting Mauied!!!

We set the date July 28, 09 in Maui. Wade and I are finally getting married. We leave July 25, 09 at 8:00am. I'm very excited but yet very nervous because first of all I hate planes and second I know I'm going to miss Presley so much. I already can't wait to come home to her, and I haven't even left yet! Yikes. She is staying with family so I know she's going to be in great hands. As a matter of fact I'm sure she won't cry for me once and I'm going to be in Maui crying for her. I won't be able to help it I just know it because I've sat in the dentist for four hours and I missed her. Anywho back to getting married in Maui, we are both so happy to be finally doing this! It seems so sureal that on July 28 for the rest of our lives were going to be celebrating our anniversary. Well please keep us in your prayers that we have a safe flight. We can't wait to post pictures and videos of our big day!

Sleeping Beauty Update:

From the last blog posting "I hope she will forgive me" one. I wanted to update some of you on today's/tonight's sleeping accomplishments. This afternoon I laid her down for her afternoon nap, and well she wasn't having it! Well neither was I, and I wasn't going to lose this battle and apparently neither was she! So as I walked out of her room (after I gave her a chance to fall asleep while I was still in there) she was screaming her head off. I ignored it. I wanted her to know that I wasn't going to tolerate that behavior. Well she showed me that she wasn't either! Little monkey climbed out of her crib and opened the door and joined me in the living room! As I saw her walk in, I stood there in shock. Little booger!

On another note. Tonight she had her normal bath and bed time story routine. She laid down and I sat next to her crib and she fell asleep! It was funny because she was fighting her sleepiness and I would see her eyes start to close then she would open them up again as if there were 10 pound weights on each eye lid. Last night she was in her crib the whole night, till the next morning. She did wake up at 3 am to be put into our bed but I threw a pillow over my head and she put herself back to sleep. We're sticking to our guns and being consistent. It's looking and getting better each day! Cheers!
