Disneyland 2009
This was Presley's second time going to Disneyland, but this time was her fist time actually being able to go on the little kiddie rides. I'm so glad that Wade was able to experience that with her only because he works so much that he hardly has the time to get to see things like this. She loved the rides! It was a great day with our little family, as I find it extremely important to find the opportunity to bond as a family and re-connect espcially when our lives can be so hectic. Presley had the privilege in being able to meet Tiger and Pooh bear from her favorite morning cartoon "My friends Tigger and Pooh". We weren't sure on what to expect as far as her reaction to them, if she was going to be scared? or was she going to be interested? Well turns out she LOVED them. I put the word "love" in all CAPS because I mean she really really LOVED them. She was giving them hugs and kisses. The best part of it was seeing her face when they stood in front of her. They were the real deal for her. Kind of like the reaction I think I would get if I were to meet umm lets say James McAvoy :). It was FUNTASTIC! These are memories I live for.

We'll Drink to That
We just wanted to thank Wade's parents for throwing us such a sweet little brunch to announce our marriage. We had a wonderful time and the food was AMAZING! (Thanks to Chef Tena Jones) Also we couldn't be happier for the friends who have made it to show their support on such short notice. It means so much to us to have you all there by our side. Our family is growing and I'm happy to have family and friends who are willing to grow with us. Cheers to great family and to great friends. We love you all. xoxoxo

Watching the Pony's race!
This was Presley's first train ride and also her first horse race! It was a really exciting day of "first's". We took the train to Del Mar race track in Solano beach and we had a great family day. My sister in law, along with my nephew and brother in law joined us for the fun. It was also my nephews first race. I am proud to say that he picked 3 winners that day. Did I mention he's only 2?! pretty impressive. Presley picked 1 winner right before she passed out for her 2.5 hour nap, and she's 14 months old. Kids are amazing and lucky! It was a fun filled day with winning and family. What else could you ask for? Here are some pictures to share.

Can it be a baby Itch?
I saw this picture that was taken today of Presley and all of a sudden something hit me and I was overwhelmed by this pressure I felt in my chest. I know this may sound silly, but when I saw this picture of her it really hit me that my baby isn't so much a baby anymore. She's well into toddler hood. Everyone says that the time goes by so fast at this age, but I was hoping they would be wrong because I don't want her to get big and grow up, I want her to stay small and my baby. Now, she doesn't want to play with me and wants to be left alone. She will shut the door in my face while saying "bye bye mommy" and play solo. Makes me sad. Well theres only one solution to this problem..another baby! hahaha well not just yet maybe in a year or so but if it were earlier I wouldn't complain;) I have friends and family who are pregnant right now and I envy their bellys! People find it suprising that I would want another baby considering the sickness I went through with Presley but it's all worth it and I'd do it all over again.

Park 411
With Presley getting older now, she likes to be more independent by exploring and playing. I feel that when were in the house all day, she's like a puppy who gets bored and starts eating your shoes and chewing up the furniture. Well not that she does any of those things but I'm sure if I let her who knows, maybe she would. With that being said I just want to acknowledge the fact that THIS MOMMY LOVES PARKS! Yes, my life and days evolve around those wonderful sand boxes. Now, before I go on it's just not any park that I love, I'm actually quite picky on the parks we attend. It's almost as intense as buying a new house, you want to invest in something that will reward you later right? Well the park is just as important. I look for parks that have lots of shade so that I know the slides & swings won't be one hundred degrees when she plays on them. Another seller for me is the people who come to the park. It's not a race thing but actually it's an age thing. I don't want my newly walking 14 month old being tackled over by some 12 year old, nor do I want her next to preteens who sit at the park benches to smoke cigarettes and to make out with their boyfriends/girlfriends. I was in luck, I found my perfect park! It's actually in LA. Yes, you read it right, I actually like something in LA! It's in Pasadena and this park has beautiful huge oak tress to shade the area on hot summer days and there are a bunch of mom's and dads who take their babies there too! Presley has a blast sitting next to kids and watching them. She has also got quite good at climbing the jungle gym and sliding down the slide (of course I'm on her like white on rice).
Eating cheerios while she swings.

Playing in the sand! (thank god she doesn't eat it anymore)

I love how little she looks in her swing.

This is how she slides down by herself =)

Why it was best for us..

Wade and I got married in Maui. There were no family or friends there. We know most of them were there in spirit but we thought that it was very important for us to be alone while going through this very intimate time. Of course we would of loved for our family & friends to have seen it, but truth is we barely get anytime alone anymore and we just knew in our hearts this is what we wanted. Also, were not the type to want to be in the spot light. Our privacy means a great deal to us and we felt that our ceremony needed to be private and intimate as possible. We had no worries. Most people are running around like crazy trying to get every little last minute thing together on the day of the wedding, while we sat at the beach drinking cocktails and enjoying eachothers company while relaxing. Not that there is anything wrong with a big wedding and the whole running around stuff. Trust me, I've been to weddings where its been that way and they were ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! It's just not for me, and there is nothing wrong about that. When it comes down to it, it's what makes the people getting married happy. period. I don't regret doing it the way we did, actually I'm so extrmemly pleased we did it this way becuase that was the best alone time that I got to spend with my new husband.

Great Man!
These were pictures from Maui that I forgot were in my camera. I had to post them to brag a little about my hubby. While we were in Maui there is this lady (in the pic's) who blew the shell every night at sunset with her husband for years! They are well known among the people who vacation there every year. Well this year was different. Her husband passed away and this was the first time she's been back to Maui since his passing. She was determined to keep the tradition going in memory of her husband. Well Wade (bless his heart) would go up to her after she blew the shell and tell her that he loved it and just thought it was the coolest thing. After his wonderful feedback she invited him to blow the shell with her. The next evening he did and every evening after that until we left. People were coming up to me saying how wonderful it was that Wade joined her and how happy it made her. They said she would talk about it all day long and how she couldn't wait to do it again. As I watched him pride in making this lady happy it made me so proud to call him my husband. How sweet is that? Geesh, I love this man!

Life back on the Mainland
First real day back on the "mainland". The trip was amazing, and I can't wait to go back next year (this time with Presley). It definitely feels great to be home and to being a mommy again. I left a Padilla and came back a Jones. The trip was amazing, but now it's back to changing diapers and laughing at my goof ball daughter. I'm looking forward to introducing Wade as my "husband". Kinda like when someone turns 21and they want to buy beer just to show their I.D. Yup Wade is my I.D and I just turned 21. Well it's back to the real life and I can't wait to show my family and friends our pictures of our wonderful trip and of our wedding. Thank you all for your comments on here and on my facebook. I hope you enjoy reading my blog.

Aloha Maui
Today were coming home! It's a bitter sweet feeling but I can't wait to get home to Presley. I'm convinced that if she was there with us, I wouldn't be coming home ever! I love it there. Well I need to finish packing and snorkel one more time before leaving.
