Sandbox Horror

There is a reason I don't have a real life picture of my experience at the play ground "sand box" yesterday, it's to save you from picturing what I had to see in person. Presley and I went to the park down the street from my house (brand new park) as we do on a regular basis. After running around for half an hour, we finally sat in the sand box to play. As we were sitting there, another little boy was playing too while his father stood beside him talking on the cell phone. All of a sudden this boy starts puking inside the sand box! As I watched in horror the dad just watched his son as he puked while Presley and two other children were playing inside of it. Well once the kid finally finished puking his father decides it's time to get out. As his father was cleaning his face (outside the sandbox) I looked at another mother (who had the same horror expression on her face)that was sitting there with her young child and I said "I hope he's going to clean up after his son." After 2 minutes (seemed like half and hour) went by the father packs his sons toys and backpack and leaves!!!! He didn't even clean up the puke!!!! I was in shock that this parent just left it there knowing we all saw his son do it and knowing that there are a lot of little children who play in it. Actually it disgusting to me that a parent could be that rude and selfish and just down right STUPID! I was so mad because that is just plain DISGUSTING! Well moral of the story is always carry anti- bacterial wipes wherever you go. You just never know how disgusting people are so expect the worse.

Race Tracks with Daddy

Wade is really into horse racing and of course was determined to get Presley into it. The older she's getting the more she understands what it is. She now knows that when daddy opens the daily racing form on Sunday mornings, she immediately points out her favorite horse for him to place the bet. Wade of course will put in $2 for her bet and surprisingly Presley knows how to pick winners! The other day she won $15 off a $2 bet! Of course her winnings go straight into her pretty pink piggy bank (someone needs to pay for college or a new car, right?!). The thing I love most about all of this, is watching them two create memories together. She will forever remember betting horses with daddy, him taking her to the race tracks and making sure she gets to see the horses up close. Now because of everything she has experienced with her dad, Presley walks around the house with her "horsy" (stuffed animal)all the time and makes sure that her "horsy" is in her crib with her before going to sleep. Another great thing is anytime she sees a horse whether it may be on TV, on the race track, or pulling a carriage at Disneyland she will scream out loud and clap her hands because she is so thrilled to see a "horsy".

Family Day

Princess Presley

This age is probably the best so far! Presley is starting to dress up and her personality is really shining through. There will be days where she will come out holding a laundry of dress up clothes and wanting to try them all on. Once she has them on, she will twirl across the room like the little princess she is :) So fun!

Back in the game..

Our computer is working and finally after downloading about 200+ pictures that have been living in my camera for about 3 months, are now free and living comfortably in the computer! This means that I am now ready to share pictures and stories once again.

So please forgive me for back tracking a few months to November for my wonderful husbands birthday. Of course to Wade birthdays are not a big deal to anyone over the age of 21. He thinks there is no point in celebrating getting older when the last real great birthday is your 21st because that's when your legal to drink. This birthday he was very serious about not wanting to do anything. He wanted no gift and didn't want a birthday dinner with friends or family(fun husband right?!). He did want to sit around and watch football in peace and have some of his moms lemon meringue pie. I did just that, Presley and I had a day to ourselves and left dad alone to watch football and his mom made him his favorite pie. I did want to surprise him with something so I made him his favorite cupcakes and Presley & I sang happy birthday to him. As much as he repeated he wanted nothing, he was really touched by my gesture and loved the cupcakes :)
