Ice Skating

With Wade joining a men's league for ice hockey (I fear for him), he thought it be a good idea to have some practice rounds around the rink. We took both girls with us and thought Presley would like to try it for her first time. We got her skates, which u can see by the picture how small they are by comparison to Wades skate. So cute! Her godfather Eric put on her skates (he played ice hockey in college) and she balanced on them as if she was born with them on! Wade and Eric took her out onto the ice and with a little help between the both of them she lOVED it! Even though watching Eric and Wade taking her around looked like it would be an episode from "Modern Family" (gay guys with a baby)hahaha, Presley had a blast! She went around so many times until her little legs couldn't possibly go anymore. It was a great first experience and I think she will enjoy going again.

Kinley 3 months Milestones...

Kinley AKA "Cheee-chin" (Presley nickname for her) is talking or "cooing" a lot more. She is awake a lot longer and always watching people and her big sister play. There has been a few times where she has laughed out-loud and has scared herself! I love the way she focuses on everything in front of her now, she stares with such intensity and is even trying to grab for things.

People always ask me if P & K are different as babies...well yes they are VERY different..I mean they are two totally different human beings so why wouldn't they be? Anyway Presley was not much of a sleeper when she was a baby and well Kinley is. Presley used to wake up every 2-3 hours until she was probably 1 years old and she was a night owl on top of it. Kinley on the other hand sleeps through the night and she has ever since she was 9 weeks old. Kinley is awake more during the day than Presley used to be, which might be the reason why K sleeps all night.

Another thing is Presley LOOOVVEED her car seat...I even remember her wanting to sleep in it at home! But Kinley...oh man she HATES it. The moment you put her in it..she screams until I get on the freeway and she will finally fall asleep. I'll even take the freeway to the grocery store down the street so I can avoid a Kinley melt down! Presley loved to be held faced towards my chest..she loved to sleep and snuggle like that all the time. Kinley likes to be faced outward and is more independent on the snuggling part. I think she just likes to sit back and watch people. But one thing they do have in common is their love for mommy!:) I look forward to finding out more of their differences once K is a little older and is able to express her personality a little more.

Story Time Wednesdays

The local library by our house does this "Munchkin Story-time" on Wednesdays for free. The librarian reads about 3-4 short stories and they sing songs, dance and do crafts towards the end. It wasn't until recently that Presley actually took an interest in story time because before she wouldn't even sit through one story. Now she sits and is really involved with the rest of the kids. I just love Wednesdays because I just strap Kinley into the backpack, grab my coffee, and we all walk to the park to play and end the day before lunch with story time :)Plus Presley is very tired by the time we get home so nap time is almost always voluntary on her part.

Presley sitting like a good girl ;)

Wanted to be like the teacher and grab her own book...

Little Ladies

With two around, and not enough hours in a day life gets a bit chaotic! I try to stay on top of things like laundry, dishes, clean house, etc but I find myself never being able to catch up. Sure, I could totally focus on cleaning all day but whats the point when it will only stay clean for 10 min?! Anyway I would rather be going to the park with them and doing fun stuff than worrying about my house. I can't believe Presley is 2.5 yrs old and Kinley is 3 months! Time is flying....I would love to continue with this but Kinley just woke up!

Me and My girl

Love this picture because this is how we always are. I love how it captured our smiling faces because one of us is always doing something to make the other laugh or smile. I was trying to take a picture of her painted face with my phone to send it to her dad but then my phone died! Darn. At least he was able to see the pictures from the digital camera.
