Kinley 6 month

Today Kinley you are 6 months! You have been in this world for half a year now. It's amazing how fast time is flying. On another note you are now eating more than just rice cereal. You have been trying all sorts of mixed veggies and fruits and you're loving every bite of it!The first time you were eating your veggies your sister Presley kept asking to have a bite, I told her that it was "baby" food and that she may not like it but she insisted that she tried it, so I let her have a spoonful (she can't say I didn't warn her) her face cringed and she spit it out. Ever since she's never asked for a bite again and actually she makes sure to announce that it's "Baby Kinleys food!" when she sees me making it. You are sitting on your own and trying so hard to crawl. I know it's going to be anytime now that you just start crawling. You are still constantly watching your sister play and now you both are always making each other laugh. I hope that you two become best friends, because there is no other greater friendship than to have one with your sister. Trust me, I know because my two best friends are your aunties :) Love you peanut!
This is you trying your new food...trying to feed yourself.

I took this the morning of your 6 month.

We had your 6 month doctors appointment and you weighed 15.8lbs and 25 inches long. Your doctor said you were in the 40th percentile in height and weight but funny thing is your head circumference is the 70th percentile hahahaha...you just have big brains!

Sleep Routine Night #2

Well this time it didn't go so well, Presley decided she wanted to fight sleep for over an hour...and once I thought she was asleep, I tried to go out in style by crawling very quietly out the door and that when she jerked up from her bed and screamed!!! Which woke Kinley up and left me so frustrated...as I tried to keep my cool, I told Presley enough is enough and I grabbed Kinley to hopefully get her back to sleep in my room and I walked out of the room. Presley had a serious melt down, she screamed for me to come back in but I couldn't go back after all I did tell her that I was going to get out if she wasn't going to go to sleep. I had to stick to my word. As I laid in my bed feeling bad that I can hear her crying in the other room (luckily got K back to sleep), I noticed it got quite. I thought to myself okay that wasn't too bad, she cried for about five minutes top and she got herself to sleep. I got up from my bed to check on the monkey to make sure she was all tucked in nice and warm, when I realized Wade snuck into her room and laid with her to go to bed!!! Well I could of done that myself! ugh...oh well onto night #3. Wish me luck.

Sleep routine Night #1

Now that Kinley is 6 months I feel like it's time to really start bedtime routines. I've started by making sure that every night both girls get a bath at 7pm...once bath time is done, I put there lotion and little pj's on. Presley will go and pick out a few books for me to read. Kinley is also at the age where she is really enjoying looking at the pictures and listening to me talk so reading for her is also fun. Now my main goal is to get both girls to sleep in their rooms in their own beds (queen size bed is not enough room for 4 people). Last night was a success, both girls slept in their rooms. I sat in between their beds (on the floor)as they fell asleep. Presley woke up twice early am but hopefully we can get that into control and as for Kinley she slept in her crib for 3 hours and woke up wanting to feed (which I expect because breast milk digest a lot quicker). I hope as the days go on with this same routine, it gets better. Cuddling with my husband again sounds nice!
