Little Cook in the Kitchen

Presley made her first fruit salad today. She was very good at it and it tasted great!
First: It's important to wash each piece of fruit! No harmful pesticides allowed in this kitchen; that's why we buy organic! But we wash just incase there's any dirt!

Second: Note: I'm a toddler so my mommy makes me use a plastic knife. That's good thinking! Now, just cut off the green stem from the strawberries.

Third: Once your done cutting fruit like my strawberries and Kiwi; I'll put them all in my yellow bowl. See....like my smile? I bet you do!

Now before the best part begins, mommy works really hard to keep this kitchen clean so before I eat I will wash off my dishes.

TA-DA!!! Here is my first fruit salad!!! I made it all by myself.

Now, best part...I get to eat it! Want a extra added tip? Add the fruit with yogurt it's a great finishing touch!

Cheers!

Everyday is a Playdate.

Girls are growing and getting big fast! I can honestly say that Presley and Kinley get along really well. Presley is very sweet and patient with Kinley. I know as they grow-up it won't always be pleasant (I grew-up with two sisters) but I can see some of Presley's characteristic traits that will make her a great big sister. I can tell the way Presley is so gentle with her, that she is going to be very protective about her.
One day we were at the playground and this kid grabbed something out of Kinley's hand and before I could intervene; Presley was already telling that kid her two sense on taking toys from her little sister. She got the toy back and handed it back to Kinley. I will always teach my girls the value of family and sister-hood just like my mother taught me.

Happy Birthday to ME!

I had such an amazing birthday weekend. I spent it with family and friends and they all made it so special. I'm so blessed to be surrounded with such wonderful people. This year was the first time that Wade had the girls make me a card, and wow-I was hit with such emotion after seeing their little hands traced on the card. I know it sounds cheesy but to me; I've waited for these kind of gifts from my girls. I've always thought "Oh, I can't wait until they start making us gifts and cards." I think it was so emotional to me because as I saw those little tiny hand prints I thought to myself how special this will be to me forever. One day their hands won't be this small and they will be grown women. I'm so grateful for another great year and for many more to come.

Kinley 7 month

It's March 9Th little bug and you are now 7 months old. Not only has your eating improved (your not messy anymore) but you've mastered the fine art of "scooting". You are now moving freely across a room when you see a toy that catches your attention. On another note, Presley is not happy with a new development you acquired. She used to be able to get away with taking a toy from you without even a whimper or notice of what just happened but now that your aware of things anytime she takes a toy you scream your little head off until she gives it back. I better get used to this because it's just the beginning. You are making more sounds and more curious about the world around you. Also you just started to learn to use a "sippy cup". It's so cute to watch you try to use it. You just want to explore everything. I'm so happy to have you both in my life. Love you chee-chin (by the way that nickname will be yours forever).

Grocery Shopping Just became FUN!!!

It's official Kinley has now graduated from the baby sling! She is now strong enough and big enough to sit like her big sister in the grocery cart. By the smile on her face (so big that you can even see it behind her little "binky") she loved it! Presley was showing her the ropes in what sitting in the cart means...like helping mommy put the groceries in the cart and later helping mommy put them on the cashier band to pay for it. It was cute. I can't wait for more new moments like these:)
